INTERSCHOOL COMPETITION
Wednesdays after school from 5pm @ Albany Junior High School

May 8th - July 3rd

Play against other teams from a range of local intermediate schools.

Doubles format matches, with players in team.

Winning teams awarded at the end of the competition.
TEAM SEEDING/GRADING/TRIALS GAMES
Wednesday 8th May after school from 5pm @ Albany Junior High School

Play a range of pickleball matches to help us assess everyones level and put you into suitable teams and divisions.

If you have friends you want to be in the same team with we can accommodate this.

Everyone gets put in a team - no one misses out.
WEEKLY TRAINING SESSION

Run by our team of experienced professional coaches.

Learn new racket skills and practice your pickleball.

Improve your game ready for the competition.

Practice with your doubles team mates.
Equipment: All equipment provided - paddles, balls, nets.
Cost: $149.99 per term.

COMPETITION FORMAT
Wednesdays after school from 5-6.45pm @ Albany Junior High School

Three 10 minute matches per player.

Doubles format matches (2 vs 2).

Winning teams awarded at the end of the competition.
While the other two players in your team play, you score/referee.
One player from each team scores together, one player from each team calls outs together.
Scorers report the score to the competition director after each match.
BASICS RULES
-
If the ball is outside the lines or doesn't go over the net, the ball is out.
-
Either player can hit the ball over the net.
-
Two attempts for serving. The serve must go into the opposite corner box.
-
Whichever team wins the rally gets a point, and serves for the next rally.
-
If you win a rally you served, the same person keeps serving, alternating sides. If you lose, then when you win your next rally it is now your partners turn to serve.
-
No volleying (hitting before the bounce) if you are standing in front of the kitchen line.

The return of serve cannot be volleyed.
SCHEDULE:
5-5.10pm: Warm up
5.10-5.20pm: Players 1/2 vs. Players 1/2
5.25-5.35pm: Players 3/4 vs. Players 3/4
5.40-5.50pm: Players 1/3 vs. Players 1/3
5.55-6.05pm: Players 2/4 vs. Players 2/4
6.10-5.20pm: Players 1/4 vs. Players 1/4
6.25-6.35pm: Players 2/3 vs. Players 2/3
6.35-6.45pm: Pack down
